Evalex thought leadership at ACSG 2025

We’re thrilled to be part of three key sessions at this year’s conference:

Ethical AI in Talent Assessment (25 March, presented by Jaco de Jager)

AI is transforming talent assessment, but ethical concerns and algorithmic bias remain pressing challenges. In this session, Jaco de Jager, our AI product development specialist, explores the ethical considerations of AI-driven assessments and shares a framework for developing responsible and effective AI-driven methodologies.

Trends and Turns in the Assessment Landscape: Part 2 (27 March, presented by Jaco de Jager)

Building on insights from ACSG 2023, this presentation examines assessment centre research and practice in comparison to other selection methods. We’ll highlight the opportunities and risks of AI-driven assessment technologies in behavioural simulations and discuss the future of assessment.

Building Talent for Tomorrow (28 March, presented by Kevin Distiller & Cathy Sims)

Many hiring models still prioritise academic qualifications, unintentionally overlooking vast pools of talented individuals – especially in regions struggling with youth unemployment. Kevin Distiller (Odyssey and Via MD) and Cathy Sims (executive director, SAGEA) will showcase findings from a large-scale psychometric study of 40,000+ candidates. They’ll discuss how skills-based hiring can make recruitment more equitable, inclusive and efficient.

Pre-conference workshop: Competency-Based Interviewing in the Digital Age (25 March, led by Kevin Distiller & Sandra Schlebusch)

This hands-on workshop will equip participants with the tools to design and conduct competency-based interviews using digital technology. Topics include video interviews, BARS anchoring with video tech, and training interviewers for greater consistency and fairness.

We can’t wait to connect with industry peers, share insights and drive meaningful discussions on the future of talent assessment. If you’re attending, let’s set up a coffee. We’d love to catch up!

See you at ACSG 2025!
